I can't imagine designing Terraria worlds without it.Ĭheat Sheet has many other features - a light hack that will light up the entire screen in increments. So, if you wanted to create a tower 10 stories high and didn't want to build the whole damn thing piece by piece, just copy 1 level of it and paste it on top of itself 9 more times! Best yet, it will create a saved list of everything you've been copying and pasting into a library so that you can go back to your previous copied selections any time. The Eyedropper and Paint Tool lets you create a selection box in-game, copy it, and then use paste the entire contents of that selection box somewhere else. It is an absolute must-have if you're looking to design and decorate worlds. ![]() To install, get HEROsMod and drop it in to:Ĭheat Sheet is perhaps my favorite Terraria utility mod of all time. These are just a few of the absolutely critical features that any Terraria designer & decorator can need, to eliminate all of the annoyances and roadblocks that would hinder your relaxing design session. Clear all objects on the ground that can be picked up. Turn on 'God Mode' and become completely invincible to all damage until you toggle it off. These helpful tools will let you do anything from materializing ANY place-able object in the game into your inventory (blocks, chests, weapons, furniture, you name it). The next mod, HERO's Mod, creates a new menu at the bottom of the screen in-game while you're playing Terraria. Your default Steam Folder (aka "SteamApps" > "common") is where the core Terraria game files are stored, and also your Documents folder (aka "Documents" > "My Games" > "Terraria") where you can find your Terraria characters' files, your world files, and the "ModLoader > Mods" folder where your downloaded mods live. This PC > Documents > My Games > Terraria > ModLoader > ModsĪlways remember, you have two locations on your computer for Terraria files. For me, that /mods folder (after installing tModLoader) is located here, on my Windows 10 computer: tmod's right in to your new /mods folder location and the mod will be ready to activate once you start the game. Now, you can start installing mods! All you have to do is download them off of the internet - they come in the form of ".tmod" files - just drop those. The official page can be found here, which is where you can find the Windows | Mac | Linux downloads for the file (these links are always updated to the most recent version). TModLoader is a mandatory mod you'll need in order to install other mods into the game. I always make a habit of copying all of these files and putting them into a folder with this naming convention: "Terraria Backups DD-MM-YYYY" and drop that folder into a parent folder for game saves. This PC > Documents > My Games > Terraria > Players Copy all of them and back them up somewhere. Your player files are located in the /Players folder and look like "r" and "". Because of that, there's no excuse not to backup very frequently, especially after an hour of design work on your Terraria world. Thankfully, these files are very tiny and only bytes/kilobytes large. Before doing anything to your game, I have to repeat the infamous warning: backup your files! That includes your player files and your world files too.
